I’m just going to let you know that I have the best Mimi in the world. Her kindness, wisdom, and good taste spill over into anything that comes out of her kitchen. I honestly don’t remember too many meals at her house where there were not green beans on the table. They are the best beans I’ve ever put in my mouth. A few years ago, I got sense enough to ask her what her secret was. I was shocked that it was so simple. But boy, oh boy, does it leave a great impression after you’ve tasted them. My sister-in-law at http://kathyskitchentable.wordpress.com/, brother-in-law, and nephew came over for dinner when we were fresh newlyweds. Pete is known for being a hater of vegetables. With his first bight of Mimi’s green beans, though, he was already planning for seconds. These go great with EVERYTHING and ANYTHING, so add it to your “go-to” list of side dish recipes.
