Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit Loaf

Get ready to channel your inner senior citizen if you’re not one already.  We may not all be fans of everything Red Lobster has to offer, but I don’t know anyone on God’s green earth who doesn’t enjoy a good Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit.  I think the term, “melt in your mouth,” was invented for those delectable starters.  Well, just imagine that goodness in the form of a loaf.  You’re going to drool over this stuff.  Smear it with butter and you’ve got yourself a goooooooood thing!

Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit Loaf

Reach For:

3 cups flour
1 TBSP baking powder
2 tsp salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1.5 TBSP parsley
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp black pepper
1 cup sharp shredded cheddar
1 1/4 cups milk
3/4 cup sour cream
3 Tablespoons of butter, melted
1 egg, lightly beaten

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray a 9×5 loaf pan.  In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and spices.  Stir in cheese.  In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients and gradually fold into first mixture.  Spread into loaf pan.  Bake for 45-50 minutes.  Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan and approximately 1 hour before slicing and serving.  (Freezes well!)

Serves: 8-10
